Settling In...

As we arrived in Greensboro for the first time last week, we decided to grab some pizza at a local joint up the road. Trying to order our food, it wasn’t hard to figure out that we were newbie’s. After asking us where we were from, the guy behind the counter preceded to welcome us with, “Welcome, you know… Greensboro is just a dirty ole town.”

Great! …Thanks? How old are you!?

Seriously, he looked about 16 and obviously knew how to encourage us in our excitement! We can’t help but laugh as our first week has been very pleasurable. We still have a lot to learn about Greensboro but there are a couple of things we enjoy.

Thus far, we love our incredibly nice community at Steeplechase (our apartments.) We've had no trouble settling in. Here are some pictures of our new place:

Left side is our bathroom and laundry room
Right is our Bedroom

We also love the gorgeous scenery that everyone seems to be enjoying alongside of us. Here are some pictures of the trail that lead into our apartments. This trail takes you into a nice community of homes where most of the backyards are open and back-up to the walkway.

Also, a few side notes on the weather: Typically 60 degrees and sunny during the day and high 30's at night. We haven't turned on our air or heat since we've arrived and our windows typically stay open all day.

Taylor mocking me :)

From what we’ve heard, the peak colors of fall have NOT arrived yet. It travels east from the mountains and should be here in the next week. We were told that we would know when we saw it. Honestly, it’s so beautiful, I’ll have to ask when the time comes...
